san francisco’s gay pride parade and celebration was today. it wasn’t as crowded or crazy as lovefest, i’d say, but still very busy. the highlighted musical artists were about to perform and friends and i squeezed through the crowd. soon, before the first artist, solange knowles, was to perform, we couldn’t move any further.
to my right and slightly forward stood a great looking guy in a plaid jacket. of course, being gay pride weekend, his heterosexuality was most doubtful. my gaydar has been on and off lately, yet still, it pinged loudly — he looks gorgeous! he looks straight! he looks alone! que??
i don’t actively pursue such situations. hey, i’m a shy girl…
after solange, many african american fans left, and we pushed deeper into the crowd. the cliks rocked the stage next, and more people would leave. exhaustion was setting in after a long day. BoA was the headliner, and so many little asian girls couldn’t hold their horses. further in we were tossed in the sea of bodies.
BoA — she was announced! pushshovepush. shoulder to shoulder, chest to back, arms by hips and faces near elbows. a solid mass was behind me as i clung to one friend in front. BoA was on, we were all on our toes, and i started to swing my hips…
…right into the guy behind me. oh hey, a plaid jacket? a white boy, excited about the britney spears of asia? you couldn’t tell by his face. but his body was right up against mine. i stood on my toes and our hips aligned. i moved with the music and he didn’t retreat. i pressed back (ohh so innocently) with the human ebb and flow, and well, what warm loins he had! all i needed was his fingers sinking into my waist and i would’ve been a goner.
those mere minutes of repressed lust, clear electricity, and feigned ignorance are what i secretly dream of. fantasies arise: strong hands, woven fingers, a little pen and scribbled numbers…silent stares, terse exchanges, homebound ride, afternoon nap…caressed curves, strongarmed kiss, forced entry…
oh, boy.
my name is jane, and i’ve been looking for danger, lately…
